10th Anniversary Competition

In September 2009, www.assemblies.org.uk is ten years old. To celebrate, we're holding a competition for the users of our primary school assemblies. We want you to compose an assembly with the title 'Now we are Ten'. What you write about involving the number ten is up to you! We will judge the assemblies in the summer, and the winning assembly will be posted in the autumn. The winning school will receive a copy of our latest assembly resource book and book tokens for the class to spend together. So get cracking! All entries are to be sent to assemblies@spck.org.uk by the closing date, 31 July 2009.

New to the Assemblies Website

Christian festivals from the Archive

Lists of Christian festivals, organized according to the church year, are given here for primary schools and here for secondary schools.

Workshops

The website editor, Ronni Lamont, is available to lead training for schools in children’s spirituality and to lead assemblies. Please contact her direct at Ronni@lamonts.org.uk

Church school assemblies

Both sites will have one or two assemblies each month that are targeted for church schools, and which fulfil Section 48 criteria. Community schools may also find these helpful in their daily lives.
