Michael was 21 and had been working for a major Internet company for just a year when he was unexpectedly promoted to the post of area manager. He'd never imagined that he would rise so far so fast, much less at such a young age.  So he went to see Mr Magister, the Managing Director of the whole company.

'I was wondering if you could give me some ADVICE,' said Michael sheepishly.

Mr Magister, didn't even look up from his work and responded with just two words: 'Right decisions!'

The young area manager had hoped for a bit more than this, so he said,'Thank you, Sir, that's really very useful, and I'm grateful to you, but could you be a bit more precise? HOW do I ensure that I make right decisions?'

The old man responded, 'Experience.'

Michael said, 'Well, that's just the point of my being here. I don't have the kind of experience I need. How do I GET it?'
